This seminar, for up to 25 delegates, will review the physiology of the respiratory system in a normal intact adult airway. The role humidification plays in maintaining normal respiratory function is reviewed and changes to the physiology of the airway as a consequence of invasive/noninvasive therapies and disease are discussed. The clinical benefits of optimal humidity are then presented.
Innovations in respiratory care, such as Nasal High Flow therapy are discussed in depth, followed by group work to gain insight and share ideas and experiences.
